Child Care Resources for Parents

girls-painted-hands.jpgA Parent’s Options

The Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW) monitors regulatory issues with registered providers. Parents have the responsibility to determine the quality of child care being provided for their child/children. DPW regulates all licensed and registered providers, including centers, group and family day care homes. There will be times that parent’s and the general public will have questions, concerns, or complaints about the care that is being provided.

The CCIS of Juniata/Mifflin/Snyder/Union Counties DOES NOT assume responsibility for monitoring quality of child care. However, we believe that parents have the right to be informed about how to make complaints and who to contact regarding the quality of child care provided to their children.

If you wish to file a complaint or wish to talk to someone about this matter, please call your local CCIS for more information.
